Guidelines for using our site, including information on purchases, returns, and your rights as a customer.

We want you to be pleased with the goods that you purchase and with the service that you receive from us. These are our conditions of sale and you should read them carefully as they apply to your order. These terms and conditions, together with our privacy policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us in relation to your use of our website, and supersede all previous agreements in respect of your use of this website.

Introduction

The supplier of the goods under your order is Steel Submission whose registered office is at Unit 25, Bulleigh Barton Farm, Newton Abbot, Devon, United Kingdom TQ12 5UA. When you order goods from us, a contract will be formed when you receive an email with a copy of your order confirmation.

You must only use this Website for lawful purposes, and you must not use it in a way that infringes the rights of anyone else or that restricts or inhibits anyone else’s enjoyment of the Website.

Price and Payment

The price for the goods (including any applicable delivery charges) are as set out in the order confirmation. You must pay in full for the goods (including any applicable delivery charges) at the time of placing your order. Ownership of the goods we supply to you will not pass to you until we have received all sums due and payable by you for or in connection with the goods, including (where applicable) delivery charges.

To ensure that shopping online is secure, your debit/credit card details will be encrypted to prevent the possibility of someone being able to read them as they are sent over the internet. Your credit card company may also do security checks to confirm it is you making the order.

Products

Product photographs on our website are for illustrative purposes only and may not exactly match the product itself or its colour or the colour of any materials including clear coated steel and wood grain. Photographs or illustrations do not comprise any contractual warranty on our part and you should not rely on them as an exact representation of the Goods.

All measurements shown on our website are approximate. The dimensions of the products we supply may vary from those stated in their specification due to the items being handmade, but we will endeavor to ensure that they are within a 2-4 mm commercial tolerance of those stated.

Delivery

Due to all our products being handmade to order, we have different lead times for different products. Please see individual product details for current delivery times. Your order will be dispatched within stated lead time of the particular item at the time of purchase. Bespoke items will take a little longer and we will provide you a lead time upon confirmation of your order. Delivery periods quoted at the time of ordering are approximate only and may vary. Goods will be delivered to the address nominated by you at the time of ordering.

We respect your confidentiality. All orders are dispatched in discreet, plain packaging, and we will never make your details available to any third party company for marketing purposes. Delivery charges and timescales vary depending on the type of products ordered and delivery address.

All orders are delivered either by ourselves or by a reputable courier. We will make every effort to deliver within the time stated however we will not be liable for any loss caused to you by late delivery. If we are unable to meet the agreed delivery date we will notify you of an alternative date as soon as possible.

No refunds of the delivery charge are made for late deliveries.

Incomplete orders must be notified to us as soon as possible following delivery and within 3 days of delivery. We will either arrange for the missing items to be delivered to you at no extra cost or refund you the original cost of the missing items.

Cancellations and Returns

Due to all our products being made to order, we do not accept returns. Order cancellation might be accepted and carried out if the order has not been customised. Cancellations to order with a refund can be made up to 7 days from your original purchase date. Cancellations after 7 days will be charged for the cost of materials, labour and restocking. The amount charged will depend on how far in fabrication process your order had gone. In this case, we will process the refund due to you as soon as possible, always within the 30 day period from the day that you have given notice of your cancellation. Any damaged items will be replaced.

Damaged and Faulty Goods

In the event that item has been handcrafted incorrectly, has obvious defects or arrived damaged, we will endeavour to replace or repair your goods free of charge with the quickest possible lead time. If this is not possible then a full refund will be issued. Any damages or defects must be reported to us within a period of 7 days following delivery and pictures of the damaged item and damaged packaging to prove it might be required. We also ask that all items must be returned in the original packaging to prevent further damage during its return journey back to us.

Future Orders

These terms apply only to your present order. We reserve the right to amend, add or delete any clause within these terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply to future orders you may place with us. Please note these terms are intended to comply with the distance selling regulations within the UK.

Intellectual Property Rights

We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our site, and in the material published on it. Those works are protected by copyright laws and all rights are reserved. You may print off one copy, and may download extracts, of any page(s) from our site for your personal use only. You must not modify the paper or digital copies of any materials you have printed off or downloaded in any way, and you must not use any illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences or any graphics separately from any accompanying text.

General

We will not be responsible for any delay in complying or failure to comply with our obligations under these conditions of sale if that delay or failure is due to any circumstances outside our reasonable control including without limitation fire, flood, national pandemic, acts of terrorism or where we are let down by a supplier. These conditions of sale are in addition to, and do not affect, your statutory rights as a consumer. They are the only terms and conditions that are applicable to your distance order from Steel Submission. Our privacy policy, which sets out how we will use your information, can be found at Privacy Policy. By using this website you consent to the processing described therein and warrant that all data provided by you is accurate. We try to make sure that all information on the website is accurate and correct at all times, however, mistakes do happen. We will try to resolve all information errors on the website as soon as reasonably possible, and if we reasonably think that such an error has affected your purchase of goods, we will try to let you know. However, because we take these steps we will not be liable to you for any errors on the website.
